Robert, Writing can help you come out of your shell, but in a different way. There is nothing ‘wrong’ about being an introvert – unless you want to change!
Sherri, Teaching is very rewarding. My guess is that you naturally taught all the time even before you were officially teaching!

Great post! I did a lot of waiting around until some fuzzy future to work at what I'm passionate about. Then I got laid off from the chemical industry and suddenly I had a lot of time to discover my passions while I was job-hunting. I found out I'm a teacher and a writer. I kind of knew about the writing because I've always kept a journal and have stacks of them. I started blogging as a replacement for some of my journaling. Very private things still go into a handwritten journal. I needed a job and started tutoring part-time and I found I love working with kids and teaching. Now I'm giving considerable thought and research into becoming a high school science and math teacher. They could use teachers with real world experience. Hi Michelle,
recently I just changed my tagline in my blog into “Helping introverts to be successful”

I’m myself is an introvert, has lots of limitation, looking forward to change and grow, becoming a better me, but I’m still in the journey. Sometimes I thought, am I putting the right tagline of helping others while I’m still not that successful, I’m still struggle with lots of weaknesses.

The quote you shared really encouraged me a lot, to be successful, I must also focus in helping others to be successful, that’s how I’m going to do it, and I can start now, through my blog.
