I assert that the need for money is our programming. What filters are you looking through when you think you need to educate your children? What filter are you looking through when you continue to work in a dead-end job year after year complaining about that job, but not taking any serious steps to change your circumstances? What programming are you looking through when you think you need money to pay someone to cook for you? What filter are we looking for when we think we own the land? A Native American filter on land ownership would give us very different information. I am asking you to look and questions your filters–without judgment… Who says we aren’t a humane society? What filter would we have to look through and who would we have to be to believe that peace on earth is now? Who would you have to be to let go of all attachment to your past money beliefs? (and the present manifestation of those beliefs?)

Hi CK,

In my opinion, sometimes we do need the money as a bridge to get the end result that we desire.

We need money to pay the land tax, road tax … etc.

Try not to pay the tax for the land you own and see who own the land in the end. We can’t pay the tax with chickens or eggs, can we?

Besides, it gives us convenience. I do not need to know how to cook delicious food in order to taste it if I have the money to have somebody else do that for me.

The same goes for clothes, water … etc.

Hi CK,

I’m sure we wouldn’t need money if our society was ordered in a humane way.

As to those who are sure we don’t. To convince me all they need to do is give it up and see what happens. I am open to the results of their experiment. I am open to being the person that they give all their money too (I can send them my address for the check).

I’m still working on the tie up between money and childhood love. I read a remark on another blog that our relationship to money is the same as the relationship we had with parental love as children. This really struck me – I am exploring this thought at the moment.

Thank you so much for this conversation….
It is what we put on money that creates the disconnect…. And I would question if we need money at all….we need food and water and shelter…we do not need money! And how can you know for sure that if you had no money that your basic needs would not be provided for? What if you were on a desert island? That is a belief I would like to challenge. Could you give a bear a $100 to build you a home? or not eat you? And so, what are you hungry for? What desires do you imagine that money will give you? What are the end results that you are looking for?
