This book captures the aspects of life that I have hidden and try to contain within. The concept of the shadow; what the shadow is; how it shows up in my life, and how it limits me as a human being is defined and made clear by the author Debbie Ford._Deepak and Marianne also share valuable information and insight from their unique perspectives. It resonated with me because I find the complexity and demands of life and work eroding my idea of who I am, and why I am here. I seek to regain a more peace filled life. Another excellent book to read anytime especially during a relaxing vacation is “Little Gifts of Sustainable Contentment” by C.J. Good. This book, like no other, has me constantly reading and re-reading its pages. What amazed me about this book was that a writer could strike such a deeply-felt chord in me. It’s a roadmap for one’s life journey. Blends perfectly with “The Shadow Effect.” So few pages, so many gems. Elliot Farmington. There is much to gain by reading “The Shadow Effect.”. I would very rarely censor a comment. Michael, it sounds like you have done a lot of work around projection. If there's a plug in for you, what is it? I've been screening this movie in a couple different states and there is a small group that feels the way you do. Everyone else: Most people are having major shifts as a result of this movie. So, my recommendation is to watch the movie and decide for yourself. If you don't want to take the chance of being disappointed as Michael was, you can get a one time download for $7.95 for the movie or $9.95 for the interactive version. If you hate it, small loss. It is not exactly a revelation that we have a "dark side." And the production was so cheesey; stupid re-enactments and truly overbearing corny music blasting through the entire thing. The music is what made the whole DVD seem somewhat humorous, since every sad story was accompanied by truly corny music, every triumph accompanied be corny triumphant music. The filmakers knew they had nothing and so they thought they would fool people into thinking they were actually seeing something by putting in really loud self important music. There was nothing to this movie - what a waste, don't waste your money!
