Warning! Don’t Read This Unless You Want To Get Rid Of Weakness!

August 28, 2008 by CK Reyes · 18 Comments

Ha! You can’t get rid of your weaknesses, so why are you giving it any attention at all?

You think you can get rid of your weaknesses, but you can’t.  You spend time and energy trying to make yourself better in an area you suck at!  This approach will never make you better at what you aren’t good at, it will just make you feel like a failure.  Have you noticed?  Have you ever thought that you should turn your weakness into a strength?  It won’t work.  You need to focus on what you are good at and let go of what you aren’t.  Guess what?  Someone else is good at what you horrendous at doing.  Hire them!

Our strengths our found in living our purpose.

We are strongest when we share our gifts with the world not when we are obsessing over what we don’t do well.  The best way to do make our significant contribution is by developing our natural talents into strengths.  In this process our purpose will manifest more easily and you’ll be happy camper.   You’ll feel more fulfilled.  You’ll experience life as an empowering adventure.  Don’t ask me how, I don’t know.  I just know fulfillment is the result of developing your innate gifts and you can’t do that when you are investing so much energy into what isn’t working.  Focus on what you are naturally good at and your weaknesses won’t get noticed.

You have natural talents.  Find them!

Each one of us has talents that are unique and endearing; they are innate in us.  Developing our talents is what will contribute the most powerfully to our expression.  When we develop our natural talents, they turn into our strengths.  Use your strengths to get ahead, not your weaknesses!  Our purpose is found somewhere in our strengths, not our weaknesses.  Read more

See How Easily You Can Shift Your Negative Expectations

July 28, 2008 by CK Reyes · 17 Comments

Why me?

What is expectation?

For some of us it is a knowing that we will fail. For others it is a depression that permeates our lives. Still, for others, it is an unconscious belief that what we have to share with the world is worthless. Negative expectations seem to take the drivers seat without our conscious awareness. And I am here to wake you up and say STOP IT! Now!

I don’t want to assume, but just in case…

How long have you been holding yourself back out of your negative expectations? We could call them your fears. Have you ever thought to yourself, “I’m not good enough,” or, “I’ll surely fail,” or “It’s too much work,” and then given up on yourself? and your dreams? What does your internal dialog sound like? I bet it’s rougher than my powerful request for you to stop holding yourself back. Maybe your negative expectations have been the creative force behind your endeavors. If they have been, you can change if through simple but powerful choices you make on a daily basis. But… Read more

See How Easily You Can Irritate Others While Living Your Divine Purpose!

July 22, 2008 by CK Reyes · 4 Comments

Living your purpose can irritate others

My purpose is to empower others!

When I realized that coaching is one way that I live my purpose, I started coaching everyone who would be coached. I gifted people with pro-bono sessions every working day. I coached on the phone and walking down the street. I sat at tables in restaurants with other people in the hopes of coaching someone. I coached homeless people in the park!

I even coached Michelle before we started working together. Can you believe that? I met her in a parking lot and wham! Instant client. Maybe she’ll write a post about her experience of being empowered by me (hint hint).

I made one serious mistake!

I coached my partner, my sweetie. In the beginning it was fun, but after a while I started hearing things like, “Okay, Coach!” and, “Where’s my girlfriend?” You get the picture? 2 O’clock in the morning if he wanted to talk, I coached. Danger! Danger! Will Robinson…..

This, I found out became an irritation instead of a joy. Well, I had to look underneath what was happening. Going back to my purpose, which is to empower, I found that coaching someone without asking permission was dis-empowering. Woah! Not me! I am here to empower. To be doing the exact opposite was an eye opener. Read more

IS IT TIME TO REINVENT YOUR LIFE?

It’s easy to overlook that our current situation in life is the result of the choices we’ve made in the past. Think about it, we don’t put on 20 pounds from just one indulgent dinner. Our marriages don’t fail overnight because of one nasty argument. Nor do we end up thousands of dollars in debt because of one extravagant purchase. We are where we are in life because of the choices we make on a daily basis.

Yes! Your Life Purpose Can Manifest During Adversity!

July 7, 2008 by CK Reyes · 6 Comments

Why Me?

During periods of adversity, it might feel as if you are dying, but what if….

What if Adversity were G-d’s way to guide you to your purpose? What if there were an incredible lesson for you to learn or an insight that was waiting for you that turns you on to life? Might you be more willing to go with the flow? Might you be willing to surrender to what is happening so that you could find the gold in that dark?

I don’t deserve the bad things that happen to me!

Consider for a moment that we look at life through specific filters. Filters come with a 5-piece luggage set filled with beliefs, behaviors, and actions that we take from the filter. If we look through the filter of, “I don’t deserve the bad things that happen to me,” what do you think the behaviors will be? Well, first we have a belief that what is happening to me is bad. What follows is usually a series of disempowering thoughts and actions (or inaction). I might blame others for what is happening to me and I might make excuses for why I am not taking that action that would most assuredly move me through the adversity. Read more

Here’s A Quick Way To Take Back Your Light Projections.

July 3, 2008 by CK Reyes · 13 Comments

You are the light

I promised that I would talk about light projections. In sharing your spiritual gifts and living your life purpose, it is just important as the dark projections. Any time you look outside of yourself in comparison, you are projecting. Any time you think that someone else has a quality you wish you had, you are projecting.

How can this help you live your purpose? When you take back your light projections, you have access to the qualities that will propel you toward the life you desire. This isn’t always easy.

I remember when I met my business partner, Michelle, in the parking lot of Sammy’s Organics grocery store. We exchanged cards and agreed to meet. I did some work for her, and she did some work for me and then we just naturally, organically, fell into this wonderful connection that was filled with inspiration and empowerment for both of us.

We didn’t know each other. Read more

Here’s A Quick Way To Live Your Life Purpose

June 24, 2008 by CK Reyes · 5 Comments

We are projectors.Take Back Your Projections! What are projections? How do they work? What are their gifts? And how can taking them back lead me to living my life purpose?

One of the most difficult concepts that I teach is projection. It is also the most juicy for me, because I am seeing the power in my awareness of when I am judging another person and how that judgment is really a projection of my light or my dark. Anytime I am judging someone as good or bad, I am in projection. Believe it or not, you are too! When you see someone that you dislike or are repulsed by and you say, “I’m NOT that!” you are in projection. We are automatic projection machines and our projections are one of the most damaging behaviors that keep us from expressing our life purpose. Oftentimes we automatically react to people and situations and it requires awareness to take back our projections and consciously choose our behaviors so that we can live our life purpose more fully. Let me give you an example. Read more

Who Else Wants To Use Their Pain to Live Their Divine Purpose?

June 3, 2008 by CK Reyes · 13 Comments

Thorns protect the rosesDebbie Ford invited me to be her guest at the April 2007 Shadow Process. Each time I have assisted or participated in this transformational work I got a piece of myself back that I didn’t even know was missing. In her book, The Secret of the Shadow, Debbie talks about our unique recipes. She shared the exercise with us at the workshop and I want you to share with you what I got out of it.

What are the top few things that you believe you could have done without? Did you go through a divorce, and you think you shouldn’t have? Did your parents split up devastate you? Were you fired from a job you hated anyway? Were you molested as a child? Did your business partner screw you out of millions? Read more

What are your spiritual gifts?

May 27, 2008 by CK Reyes · 9 Comments

Divine PurposeHave you ever thought, “I know I am here for a purpose.”

Have you not quite figured out what your life purpose is? You know that life must be more than what you are living, and on some level you know it is your birthright to experience joy and passion. You know you are here to share your gifts and make a difference in the world, but you don’t know how. Your head tries to figure it out and make things happen and your heart yearns to express its fullness. You have the desire inside of you, but instead of expressing your gifts have you struggled? Have you adopted the belief that everyone gets to be happy except you? Have you given up in resignation? Not yet, okay? Read more

Who Else Wants To Know What Divine Purpose Is?

May 19, 2008 by CK Reyes · 8 Comments

Divine Purpose

What do think when you hear the words “Divine Purpose?”

If you are Thinking, you may be missing the essence of what this could mean to you and the impact it could have on your life.

Eckhart Tolle, in The Power of Now, says that words are an entrance point, but cannot define the meaning of something. For example, the word orange is not an orange. But when you eat an orange, you experience the orange. This cannot be explained. What if the words “Divine Purpose” were put into the same concept? They should be.

Is what we are teaching bull*@%!? What would FEAR say?

In a moment of what I believe to be “human fear,” Michelle said to me, maybe everything we are teaching is bull *%$*#. Fear would also say that we are wasting our time and that no one wants what we have to share. Fear would say that we are fakes and phonies and that we don’t know what we are talking about. Fear would say that we better change our name, tone down our message, and dummy up a bit. We don’t know what we are talking about! Fear would coerce us to not say anything that would offend or turn people off. Fear would say, “HIDE!” My fear is disempowering and I have learned to give faith at least an equal voice. Read more
