Dan, Have you noticed a difference in your calls when you set this intention? I have noticed that when I set my intention in advance, releasing how my intention manifests empowers me to be present. So, I may not get to see first hand how my intention made a difference. Do you find this to be true?

Criptic, One of my affirmations is this: everything I do leads to the success of my business. If I truly believe that then when things go drastically different from what I thought they would, I can still know in my heart that it was for the success of my business. Even when circumstances take me in a seemingly different direction.

If you surrendered to the flow of your life, knowing 100% that all these set backs were actually working in your favor to take you toward the life of your dreams, how might you experience this part of your life differently? How might you be open to these unexpected events? From this perspective, how would you think, speak, and act?

Setting the intention is about being clear on what you desire and then surrendering to how it manifests. Is sounds like your intention may be filled more with expectation and control than intention.

The universe IS leading you toward your desired outcome. Intend, trust, and surrender to this adventure.

it's hard to know where to begin,sometimes... And sometimes this method does not work.
I recently left a job in WY to return to FL in pursuit of my more authentic life, to actually do something I love, something creative... to keep it short, I had a roommate/rental set up which fell through, was unable to find work locally in my field, and had to take another seasonal job in the same field I had just left in order to make ends meet...
not that it's a bad gig, just...nothing like I intended.

so it is hard for me to trust this process when it has failed me previously

I've been doing something like this for about 3 or 4 years now and it's really helped me to turn around my dislike of using the telephone. Before making a call, I spend a few seconds intending a positive outcome for both parties and then I make the call. I find I'm calmer, more centred and I'm happy because I'm not necessarily focused on making a new client - it's more about us both being richer for the experience. If we work together then that's great, if not, then my intention is to leave them with something that will make a difference in their life.

Cheers, Dan

You're not full of #*@& CK!

This is an exercise I need to do. I read what you've written, and agree, that this is an important step in taking me in the direction I desire. Thanks also for sharing your intentions here - it helps give me some direction in this whole process.

Read Lances last blog post..<a href="http://www.jungleoflife.com/2008/09/21/sunday-thought-for-the-day-18/" rel="nofollow">Sunday Thought For The Day</a>
