Yes, for some, Haagen Das is not a good investment, but it is an investment.
The shift is seeing it as an investment. I think that with this shift, we can make more conscious choices about what we want our life to look like. From this perspective, we may not be so surprised by where we are in our life right now. It is from this awareness that we have the power to make the changes in our life and consciously head in the direction of our dreams (instead of just talking about what we want). As we change our language, it will become very clear what actions we need to take (the investment of our time) to move forward.

OK, I absolutely agree. Haagen Das ice cream is not a good investment. Fresh fruit is. Wheat bread is a good investment. Wonder bread is not.

A good, warm sweater is a good investment – not a high priced purse!

Put your money where your value is and toward something that will value you.
