How to know you’re on purpose with your Life Purpose.

I’ve been obsessed with a project.

The energy isn’t quite right and I can’t figure it out.  All I know is that I went from being way excited and on fire to feeling frustrated and deflated.  For several weeks I haven’t slept.  In the beginning it was because the ideas were flowing faster than I could write them down, but it shifted. And I’m left confused and without direction.

Last night before going to bed, I asked for help!

Then I picked up a book and opened it to a page that said, “Passion and Purpose.”  Chapter 83 of Jack Canfield’s Success Principles.  What I read was a confirmation of what I already know.

Only do the things you love to do.  The most successful people only do what they love.  Delegate anything that is not your ‘core genius.’

I realized that I was not on purpose.  I had strayed, and it is painful when I stray.  And then an interesting thing happened.  I was overcome with gratitude for the messages from the Divine.

I received Divine confirmation.

Okay, so you have to be open to seeing it, because if you aren’t it will feel like you’re being slapped in the face.  It might even feel like you are being told, “NO” by the Divine himself.  By having an open heart to see a bigger message, I was able to see that the events over the past several weeks are, in part, answers to my personal prayers and meditation.

The bigger picture.

Re-reading journal entries I found that my biggest most sincere desire is to be yoked with the Divine.  It has been for a long time.  I desire to be guided and directed in my thoughts and my words and my actions.  It’s such a big piece of what I am wanting for myself that I share it with complete vulnerability.  Afterall, God might not want to be yoked with me, right?  Maybe I’m not worthy, right?  …and then everyone will know.

Be open to seeing!

My higher-self knows that it’s impossible to not be in union with the Divine.  Unfortunately, my human self needs some convincing.  That’s where choice comes in.  I give myself permission to see the union I already have.  I choose to view the circumstances of my life from the perspective that I am connected instead of that I am alone in this big and crazy world.

I want to flow through life saying yes to what turns me on and no to what leaves me flat.  In order to have that flow, I need to recognize the difference.  Looking back on the past several weeks it’s very clear to me that I am Divinely supported.

In the beginning, the ideas were flowing.

That’s a yes.  Continue down that path.  Explore the possibilities.  Research.  Talk to people.  As long as the energy is flowing freely, keep going in that direction.  As long as you’re feeling good, continue on that path.  When I’m no longer feeling guided, but instead feeling trapped–do something different.  Another path will open up.

When I feel stuck, then I need to make another choice.  In both situations I’m obsessed.  However, one will open me up to endless possibilities and the other will drain me of any ability or desire to notice the possibilities.

So how do you know you’re on purpose with your Divine Purpose?

You will know, because you will feel good.  You might be working your butt off, but you’ll feel good about it.  You’ll be energized and lit up.  Here are some questions to ask yourself:

  • Are you doing the things you love to do?
  • Are you filled with passion?
  • Are people attracted to you and do they enjoy being around you?
  • Are you investing time and energy in what turns you on?
  • Do you love what you do so much that you’re engaged in these activities after any job or obligation you have?
  • Are you willing to do it for free?

You will have clear indications that you are on purpose with your Life Purpose.  If those indications are missing, do something different!  Don’t know what to do?  Call me.  No, I’m not going to tell you what to do, I’m going to guide you to access what is in your soul!
