7 Things You Don’t Want To Know About Me
March 22, 2008
I’ve been tagged by Corinne Edwards. It’s some kind of computer tag game for people who don’t have anything else to do. She’s a Blogger! I’m not! So, the first thing I thought was–weirdo!
Corinne says it’s a meme. I think it’s a typo and she meant memo, but whatever. I like playing and so I’ll tell you 7 things you don’t want to know about me. It’s supposed to be ‘need’ to know. But that term has been overused. Okay, here goes:
- I love to write. One paper I wrote was about the most valuable invention in human history: the popsicle. My son, Sergio, was a toddler at the time and so it had its advantages. My baby turns 18 tomorrow at 5:38pm. I think I’ll celebrate with a popsicle. And then think of something a little more contemporary to write about.
- I don’t think I knew that Corinne is a life coach, I am too! Wow. Even though I am a life coach, I would call myself an emotional and spiritual educator. My passion is shadow integration. There are all kinds of benefits.
- I met my business partner, Michelle, in the parking lot of a health food store. She didn’t mention the word ‘blog’ until after we were pretty committed. Good thing for both of us, because I would have run screaming from the parking lot. Weirdo. I don’t get it. Why do you people spend so much time on the computer writing about yourselves, tagging each other, and talking about SEO Packs? (whatever those are) Now, Michelle just tells me when to write and when to push the little button that says “Publish.”
- I am a good order taker. (see #3) I recently completed a leadership training with Debbie Ford. She teaches that the best thing we could do is be an order taker. Instead of trying to make something happen, allow the Divine to work through you. Ask what wants to come through you instead of telling God what to do for you. I like that and I align myself with this intention everyday. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. I guess sometimes I think I know best.
- I have an 18 year-old son and a 10 year-old daughter. My son likes toast and my daughter shaved her head last Thursday to raise money to build a school in Uganda. She raised $352.58 so far. My son still likes toast! And my daughter is beautiful.
- I was in the Mormon church for 12 years. That’s a novel I probably won’t write, but I did write a 20 page paper on depression in Mormon women.
- Woah, I’m at 7 already? I just got started. I bet I could go for 14 things… I spend way too much time at the Mate’ Factor. This is the cafe’ at the end of my street. I meet clients there. I mean for the first time. I mean sometimes it’s planned, but most of the time I just talk to people. I love people. I love connecting with people and sharing and, it just feels good. I know in my heart that we are whole and complete–all of us. I know that. (everyone but me…just kidding.) And many of us are searching for that wholeness. It is there, but we don’t always see it. I love showing people their wholeness. I love guiding people to integration and self-love. I love holding people in their highest. I love teaching. I love our humanity.
So, there you have it. 7 things you don’t want to know about me. I could have shared some secrets, but those would be things you do want to know about me…. Let me see, now I am supposed to tag someone else…

That was a great read! Thanks for the tag, I wouldn’t have found your blog otherwise! I’m also very interested in shadow work, so I guess I’ll be having lots of fun digging around your blog.

Thanks for being a good sport, CK.
You say you are not a blogger - but you blog. Please explain.
I was sincerly interested in you because -
I am addicted to your partner, Michelle. Hang on her every word. She saves my life daily.
And she thinks you are wonderful!
I think you are a superb writer. I always enjoy your articles - even though you are not a blogger. (????)
And, yes, we have better things to do. But even bloggers like to have some fun once in a while..
i did!
Oh, so you think it’s fun? Well, I have found that I could resist. But in my line of work “What you resists, persists” (Jung) Michelle is a blogger and we are together alot! ( I love that part, she is so wonderful) So, I am really taking the easy way out.
I love to write and this is an outlet for me. I get to write and put myself out there and our website is part of our work. The other piece for me is that I love connecting with people. I never thought it would look like ‘blogging.’ (Okay, I admit it, I really do enjoy it, I am just giving everyone a hard time–especially Michelle!)
oh, I almost forgot…Don’t tell Michelle I like blogging….
I won’t tell Michelle. Your secret is safe with me.
CK,
How did you ever find all those other bloggers above to tag? You’ve been holding out on me!
uuumm… Michelle? I didn’t know you actually read this stuff.. uuumm…my evil twin did it…. I gotta go….
Hi CK…. We’ve not met yet, so greetings. I’ve been getting to know Michelle, so finding out a bit about you is cool. For a non-blogger you sure seem to be blogging quite nicely. I’m going to keep reading to see if you will reveal the aforementioned “secrets.” Interesting that you tagged hobostripper next. I think Freud would have some questions about those secrets. Be well!

What Mitt Romney did yesterday is right out of the Mormon playbook. They are taught to tap- dance around the truth with the ferocity of a Busby Berkley chorus line when asked about their actual beliefs. Of course, once you realize what those beliefs are, who could blame them? On some level, Mormons secretly know that some of the more ludicrous tenets of their pyramid scheme are hard to swallow. That is way, just like the sister faith (Amway), they try to wow you with how pretty everything is before they ask…
Thanks for the tag!

Thanks for the tag! I like your description for order taker =), I think I do it with my blog as well, asking God to show and help me on what I’m gonna write!

Here is my part, and actually I mentioned your insights, those that you send to me by email…
Here it is… 7 interesting and useful facts on my flaws
